$155 in paint and $20-40 in paint supplies can go a long way to update a kitchen. I painted everything from the tile backsplash, to the cabinets, to painting the crown moulding and cabinet sides to look like wood. - How I updated the crown moulding to look like walnut to match the rest of the wood cabinets
- How to paint cabinets without sanding
- How to paint a tile backsplash

Removing the brown tones in the backsplash and adding a cool tone blue rather than warm red really helped the brown countertops to feel less dated too. It feels like I got new countertops even though they weren’t touched!
