Cozy Bedroom Ideas for Spring
Our bedroom has been one of slow transition ever since we moved in almost a year ago. We started making it our own by adding a beautiful board and batten accent wall {tutorial here}. Next, we beautified the space using modern farmhouse elements {full explanation of the modern farmhouse design style here}. And now, I am ready to make some simple decor changes to create a cozy setting with Joss and Main for the spring!
If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that the reason behind some of these updates is because my son decided to use our bed as a gymnastics mat. Front flips from an 85 lb 8 year old may or may not be recommended. Since he perfected his flip by breaking our bed…..(queue the mom face)…..we were in need of a new bed frame.
And when one thing leads to another, it was time to refresh our entire bedroom! So I partnered with Joss and Main to give you some cozy bedroom ideas just in time for the spring season.
Cozy Bedroom Ideas: Form & Function
Our first step in our bedroom refresh was to replace our broken bed frame. Since I’ve always wanted something with a little more pizzazz than the traditional metal frame, I was excited to find this upholstered panel bed!
It’s slim frame fit onto my small wall and I love that it offers a foot board that is only at the base. This allows our smaller bedroom to still have the function while having beautiful form as well!
Using an upholstered headboard helps keep the cozy element of design as opposed to a wood or metal headboard. I love how the light grey complements the other touches of grey I use in the room.
Cozy Bedroom Ideas: Textures
The second update we added were new sheets! I realize that this is a very normal product to purchase, however adding new sheets that are high quality makes all the difference! Using quality fabric creates a cozy feel as you slip into bed for the evening.
Plus, I love when sheets offer a beautiful detail to show off. This quilted pattern makes the sheets as much a part of the beautiful bedding as the comforter and pillows.
Cozy Bedroom Ideas: Comfort
The next must have was new pillows! I finally decided to purchase king size goose feather pillows. I love how large they are! I can wrap them around my back for extra support at night. Plus, they finally fill out my pillow cases!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve always purchased standard sized pillows to save money. The problem was my sheet sets were always king size, which means my pillow cases were never filled out! Having the proper size pillow for the pillow case is a no brainer, but sometimes it takes that extra push to spend a little more money to do it right.
Cozy Bedroom Ideas: Warmth
Another must have for a cozy bedroom is added layers of warmth. Even in the spring our nights get chilly. So having this light weight cotton throw blanket makes a difference to be able to enjoy a good night’s sleep!
I love the textured crossed detail it offers for lots of style! Lightweight blankets are often plain so that extra touch sealed the deal for me.
Cozy Bedroom Ideas: Artwork
My final addition to our cozy bedroom refresh includes this beautiful artwork! When I create a cozy environment I am often focused on the above items I’ve shared: function, textures, comfort, and warmth. However, don’t neglect to consider artwork as part of your cozy bedroom ideas!
Part of creating a cozy space involves creating a space that you’re drawn to and interested in. Artwork helps to draw you in. It’s an inviting addition to any cozy bedroom. Plus, this beautiful artwork nods towards spring and warmer days! The pops of fresh green are exactly what I needed to add for some spring decor.

Really pretty Sarah, my son’s are older and out of the house so no bed jumping. Lol……. The simple things really did make it look like spring. Love the picture above your bed! That alone really makes it feel like spring. As I said in another comment I just redid my bedroom from primitive to just fresh and clean. It does look like spring too. I do need a couple of things for the walls. Think I’ll look for something springy. Thanks Sarah……??????
