Elegant Christmas Tablescape In Minutes

If you’ve been following along with me for any length of time, then you know that I appreciate a beautiful tablescape full of elegant details and lush layers.

However, I also love the simplicity of a practical tablescape design that allows me to easily move it to the side when it comes time for dinner. Personally, I tend to lean towards a more simplistic tablescape.

So this Christmas, I wanted to showcase how easy it is to create an elegant Christmas tablescape design in minutes. It doesn’t have to be complicated to be beautiful!

DIY Table Chargers

I started this Christmas tablescape by layering several random types of textiles as my linens.

A runner from last fall, textured knit pillow case covers from last winter, and simple linen napkins from last spring, all come together to create the base of my tablescape.

I went this route since I didn’t have a Christmas-specific tablecloth on hand. Adding lots of texture creates warmth which is perfect for the winter season.

Next, I added these simple DIY table chargers. I love making my own chargers. It makes it easy to swap them out without the cost of buying new or the hassle of extra items to store.

Cozy Centerpeice

Then, I added the simplest centerpiece idea possible! I shared all the details on this cozy centerpiece here. I can’t resist the glow of a candle and it adds that touch of romance to this elegant tablescape.

Simple Place Settings

To top it off, I added neutral dishes. Layering cloth napkins and adding a Christmas ornament is a simple way to make these everyday place settings special.

There is certainly a time and place for a more elaborate Christmas tablescape; however, this serves my family well and I hope shows that a simple design can still be elegant and cozy!

Adding some Christmas decor to the buffet puts a finishing touch on my Christmas dining room.
