Table Setting Ideas | Harvest Tablescape
Hey ya’ll, Can I just be honest with you? I don’t do fancy tables. Like, ever. When I have a party I pull out the red solo cups and paper plates. Heaven forbid I have to do dishes for 30 people. But this year I thought for about 2.4 seconds that I would be hosting Thanksgiving. So I started to play around with table setting ideas. Then, plans changed and I am no longer hosting Thanksgiving! Wah wah. (Admit it, you all made the sound in your heads.)
Well friends, that is ok with me. Because that means no dishes! 😉 But since I had already played around I thought I would show you what my table WOULD have looked like for Thanksgiving this year. This tablescape took a very short amount of time. Because, you know me, I like to keep it simple.
Table Setting Ideas for a Harvest Tablescape
First up, the centerpiece. You might recognize this from my last post about styling trays!
If I am going to have a centerpiece, then you better believe it is going to be contained inside a tray that I can easily pick up and move when the turkey becomes center stage. So almost always, my table setting ideas are styled on a tray. For this one I used a magnolia wreath and nestled it inside my wood tray. Then I topped it with a cake stand to display my vignette so it was easily visible above the foliage.
For each place setting I used simple white plates and my go-to fall decor, white mini pumpkins. I prefer neutrals but you could easily switch this up to use orange or green pumpkins, fall leaves, or other natural elements to pretty-up the plates. (You might notice no silverware. Yeah….remember I was just playing around? That means not getting out the unnecesary. You’ll want silverware. Or your guests might think you’re a caveman. Or cavewoman.) 😉
I am also IN LOVE with my wood bead garland from Sugar and Succulents. It is so easy to style just about anywhere but in this tablescape I think it adds a nice little touch of nature. And bonus, the food dishes will easily set around it!
And last but not least, add a little glam with some glassware. I prefer these simple dollar store bottles but you can change it up with candlesticks, several bottles lining the runner, or other taller items to balance out the shorter decor.
Toss on a few larger pumpkins to keep the fall theme going and call it good!
So there you have it. Had I for once hosted a nice dinner party my table would have be simple, but decorated. Sorry to all my guests who only ever get solo cups. 🙂 What does your Thanksgiving table look like?
Thanksgiving blessings!
Sarah
{I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.- Psalm 9:1}
Beautiful…careful you might still get roped into doing a dinner at that table once everyone see’s it. 🙂
This is just beautiful!
Thank you so much!
So pretty!
