Spring Home Decor | The Creative Way
In case you haven’t heard, I’m moving! Our family is excited for new adventures ahead in a new home. However, that means this was the last time I’d decorate this beautiful home for spring. Queue the waterworks from yours truly. ๐
If you missed my full post on our home remodel story, click here. This will give you a better idea of why I am so sad to leave this haven God provided for us. I had to commemorate our lives in this home with one last season of spring home decor before we move because it is my favorite season to decorate for. And I’m grateful I get to share it with you!
Since much of our home was already packed up when I decided to join this awesome blog hop, I had to get creative with my spring home decor. I love it when I’m forced to get creative. Sometimes the best way to decorate is with fewer decorations and more creativity! So I hope you enjoy the simple touches I added while the rest of our house was in packing chaos. ๐
Spring Mantel Decor
I love decorating our mantel for the seasons. Typically I would go all out with flowers and greenery on our mantel, but since 90% was already packed away I went a different route. I happened to have all of my summer terra-cotta pots still out on the front porch that we hadn’t packed yet. They were the perfect inspiration for a spring mantel.
I felt like it was a good way to represent the growth and expectation that spring excites us with by keeping most of them empty, adding a seedling, and just a few touches of faux fern. It lets this beautiful wreath shine as the main focal point in my mantel spring home decor.
Spring Kitchen Decor
My second favorite space to let spring home decor shine is in the kitchen. You can see my full spring kitchen here. Simple touches of tulips, a beautiful spring print, and live plants are all that’s needed to make this space beautiful.
Heading into the dining room, a simple collection of mixed vintage and new bottles sprinkled with beautiful poppies offers a great transition from winter to spring. Here in Michigan we won’t see our tulips and poppies bloom until well into spring so these realistic faux options are my go-to flowers for my spring home decor.
Spring Entryway Decor
Ironically enough, we are ending our spring home tour at the entryway! I like to be unique like that. Gotta throw you a few curve balls and be all unpredictable every now and then. ๐
In this spring’s entryway I’ve kept it super simple with these beautiful stems taking center stage. Coupled with some spring greens in my hanging planters, it offers just enough of a touch of spring to warm the space and bring a little sunshine into our dreary winter life.
And there you have it! My simple spring home that can even be done in the middle of a move. If anyone ever tells you they don’t have time to decorate, just send them to me. ๐ It doesn’t have to be difficult!
I hope that you head to my fellow bloggers next who’ve shown you different ways to decorate their spaces for spring as well! It’s a spring home decor marathon!
