Love it? Share it!

Is anyone else already thinking about their Thanksgiving table decor? This year is the first time I get the privilege of hosting our family for Thanksgiving! Can you believe it? Somehow I’ve gone 14 years of adulthood without hosting this wonderful holiday. And if you’re doing the math, you’re not alone. I just had to ask my husband how old I am. No joke…. 😉

Are you looking for a simple way to decorate your thanksgiving table? I've put together three easy options to dress up your thanksgiving tablescape.

Since this is my debut in the Thanksgiving hosting world I decided I wanted to do a dry run for how I’ll decorate my Thanksgiving table. And you get to see the three simple options I put together! I need you to vote in the comments below and tell me which is your favorite!

Thanksgiving Table Decor

The basis of my thanksgiving tablescape are the DIY chargers I gave you a tutorial on in my last post. If you didn’t get a chance to read that then make sure you head there next because I made all of my Gather chargers for less than $4 total (and I include a free template)!

Atop these easy DIY chargers are simple white Ikea dinner and salad plates. An easy layer that can turn into a favor when guests leave are these cutie mini boo boo pumpkins.

For a special touch, I used my grandmother’s silver that she left me this past summer when she passed away. Seeing these on my table is a wonderful sentimental touch.

And for the centerpiece: a pile of pumpkins on top of a vintage ironstone platter. I really don’t think you can go wrong with a pile of pumpkins. 😉 The main reason that I style my centerpieces like this is because I want something that is easy to remove when it is time for the main event: the turkey!

(Pssstt….see that modern farmhouse table? I DIYed that baby too! Read my full tutorial here on how to refinish a dining room table in 10 easy steps.)

I’m a realist, and I know that when everyone arrives and views the thanksgiving table decor once they will be ready to remove it! Ha! We’ve gotta have room for the good stuff, right? So I’m not typically someone who will fill up my entire table with decor that cannot be easily removed to make room for our meal. Just call me practically Patty.

I added in some simple industrial farmhouse candlesticks (that I DIYed from thrift store brass to spray painted flat black) for a touch of glam and voila! I’m done with option #1.

For my second option I wanted to add some fall color. I’m typically a neutral kind of gal but my husband came home with a gorgeous fall bouquet (way to go hubby!) so I decided to insert some of this natural beauty into the centerpiece. Just a few touches of rust red and some greens dresses up the centerpiece for a more lush look.

Finally, for my third option, I thought I’d just see how a simple arrangement of the hubby’s gift would look in a farmhouse pitcher. This is a very simple option for those of you who don’t like any fuss! Plus, when it’s time for the turkey to arrive you can easily remove this centerpiece and place it aside to continue to enjoy with your guests.

Enjoy your week ya’ll!
