I’ve known Karan for quite some time after “meeting” her on Instagram. Karan was one of the first from the Insta-decor community to welcome me when I was just starting out as a new blogger. I’ve absolutely loved following along with Karan and have come to know her as one of the most encouraging people out there! I’m sure you’ll love getting to know her as well.

Traditional Decor Style

Karan’s beautiful home is a century old farmhouse and it oozes with character! Karan, who owns her own successful design business, has created such a beautiful haven for her family to enjoy. I just love every detail. From the beautiful winding staircase to the leaded glass windows.

Karan also offers wonderful DIY tutorials on her blog. Easy projects like “best chalk painting techniques” are readily available along with some trickier tutorials (in my opinion!) like how to make your own roman blinds.

However, my absolute favorite space in Karan’s home is her newly renovated kitchen! I absolutely love how she created this new space while incorporating vintage elements like the accent architectural pieces and vintage door.

And make sure to stick around for the holidays! Karan’s Christmas decor is already inspiring me for the upcoming season. Her tree from last year offers such a cozy glow and I cannot wait to see what she does this year!

  1. Hi Sarah, Thanks so much for introducing us to Karan, I’m anxious to jump over to her blog. I’ve always thought or felt like the Traditional style was a bit too formal or “fixed” for my taste, but her kitchen is fabulous and beautiful and I would take a kitchen just like hers in a heartbeat! I’ve been told by many (including my daughter, who owns an interior design business in another city) that my decorating style is quite eclectic. I didn’t decide to have that style, I simply put colors and pieces in our home that my husband and I liked. Perhaps because we all couldn’t possibly like the very same thing all of the time, each person’s style contains a bit of another style or styles. Happy Friday!

    1. Hi Judy,
Thank you so much! An eclectic home is always so beautiful. Full of character for sure. I’ve always been a supporter of doing what make you happy in your home. After all, it is a totally representation of our lives and family. I hope I can offer some inspiration and maybe a laugh or two along the way. I really appreciate you stopping by!
