Best Pork Tenderloin Recipe
I love how simple this meal is. My sister-in-law originally introduced me to it years ago and since then I have tweaked it and it has become a fan favorite. Both of my kiddos enjoy it, and for the picky eater in the family I simply leave a small section that has less spices. (“It’s spicy, mom.”)
It’s really not spicy. It’s flavorful, tender and moist. The perfect combination for a meat that can easily be overcooked and dried out.
How to Cook Pork Loin
There are many ways to cook pork tenderloin. Roasting, baking, and in the crock pot are my favorite. This method bakes your pork loin to the perfect temperature.
Preheat your oven to 450.
Trim the silver skin from your pork tenderloin.
{Honestly, I skip this step a lot. If your pork doesn’t have a thick layer….save yourself the hassle.}
Slice several 1″ deep slits into the meat and fill with cloves of garlic.
Then, drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar on top of the meat.
Next, sprinkle with thyme and McCormick Grill Mates. I like Montreal Steak, but almost any of the grill mates will work well. In a pinch, you can also just use kosher salt and pepper and a little onion powder.
Bake for 20-25 minutes on a pan covered with tin foil. Believe me, you’ll thank me for that tip!
Quick Tip: Pork tenderloin can very quickly be overcooked. After 20 minutes, check your meat every 3-4 minutes until done.
Make it An Easy Weeknight Meal
To get dinner on the table fast, add baked asparagus and potatoes to the oven! These can be roasted at the same temperature. The potatoes will likely take 30 minutes and the asparagus around 15-20.
I coat both in olive oil, then add kosher salt, pepper, and miracle blend for amazing flavor!
I love that all of these dishes are very hands off once you get them in the oven. Simply stir the potatoes and asparagus about halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking.
Let your meat rest for 10 minutes tented with foil so it can reconstitute all those delicious juices. Slice, and serve!
