Happy Spring my friends! I am itching to make my new back patio beautiful! So today I’m sharing my spring patio decor inspiration with you! Let’s talk Garden Party Dining.

I have to say that while I love decorating the inside of my house (as you can see in my spring home tour here!), my heart belongs outside in my garden. There is nothing like getting my hands dirty and watching God do His work as new life forms from the dirt. Plus, now I have this patio space with SOOOO much potential to enjoy this spring and summer. So here we go!

Are you ready for spring? Today I have created a beautiful collection of spring patio decor inspiration for you as we enter this next season! It's a garden party dining extravaganza!

Spring Patio Decor Inspiration

Since I live in Michigan and it never actually feels like spring until May (queue the waterworks from this sunshine lover) I am in planning mode. I love to create personal mood boards for a space before I start piecing it together and today I thought I’d share it with you! Perhaps it will spark some ideas for your own spring patio decor.

Welcome to my patio! It is rather drab right now, I know. But it is Michigan after all, and I haven’t gotten my hands on it yet! Just look at the potential though! The stamped concrete is my favorite part. So for this spring patio I’m dreaming of two individual but connected spaces. A comfy sitting area + a dining area.

The lovely pieces I’m dreaming of are from Joss and Main this time around! I find a lot of times that if I fall in love with a specific piece that is the catalyst for my space refresh, then I can typically find coordinating pieces from the same source. For me, it was this dining set that started it all!

The Table

My husband and I love outdoor dining and entertaining and I love the wood and white combo of this affordable set. Now, for the mood board! What’s a dining table without all the pretty pieces that make it unique?! I chose fresh spring pinks and greens to accent an otherwise neutral tablescape. Simply scroll through the photos to see each piece.

I just love how the pink salad plates and patterned napkins, combined with the green glasses adds a touch of whimsy to dinnerware that can be used year round.

Plus, these beautiful server ware pieces are perfect for entertaining. I love how the copper party tub warms up the space while the wood and marble cheese board and unique textured salad bowl are classics.

The Ambiance

Now that we have the table set, we have to set the mood. I love how these solar lights can be placed individually from clips. They add the perfect amount of twinkle to my spring patio decor. Add in some extra comfort with these pretty floral pillows and a soft rug underfoot and guests will be staying all night.

And of course, what would a spring table be without spring decor? I love these simple double topiaries and bud vases. They can easily be spread in a thin line up and down the center of the table to bring spring to the eating area while leaving room for the food. Because let’s be honest, people come for the food. 😉

Our patio has this great overhang from the deck above. I have wanted a porch swing since before Aaron and I were married and we’ve never had the room for one. With this space, I just know we could fit a swing right here! This porch swing is so full of character that I knew I had to add it to my spring patio decor inspiration.

And where there’s a porch swing, there are pretty pillows to accent it. I chose these lumbar pillows because the black accent tied into the porch swing’s color. Next, I added a little bit more back support with these neutral macrame pillows which can be used for multiple seasons.

The Garden

Now that we have our dining and sitting areas, it’s time to spruce up the surroundings. You can’t have a garden party without the garden. These terra cotta planters are tall enough to stand out but skinny enough to place almost anywhere. And they are even better when grouped!

Hanging from the overhang I’m definitely planning to places these modern planters. I love the design of these circular hanging planters which is perfect for dangling vines and plants!

To accent the terra cotta planters, this planter box can be placed at one end of the patio as a separation between the sitting area and dining area. For the farmhouse girl in me, I had to also include this crackled planter which I would probably use as a card game and magazine staging area for guests to enjoy.

Isn’t it all so pretty?! I cannot wait for Michigan to get into gear and give me some sunshine and warmth to enjoy so I can decorate this back patio. As soon as it reaches 60 degrees, I’m making it happen! If you love any of these pieces as much as I do, you can shop each item by clicking on the corresponding photo below.

What is your favorite way to spruce up your spring patio?

Be blessed my friends!
