Black and White Wrapping Paper

Every year we all spend hours wrapping gifts for our loved ones. It can become pricey to buy new wrapping paper each season. So today, I want to share how easy it is to use black and white wrapping paper as your main source of gift wrap.

Black and white is a timeless combination. They look beautiful and elegant, but beyond that, they also blend seamlessly with every other color. Red and green look especially beautiful next to them!

Here are four ways to use black and white wrapping paper as a simple gift wrap option!

Stand Alone for an Elegant Combination

The first way to use this beautiful combo is to keep it simple with just black and white paper.

This is the most elegant and economical option. Rather than using traditional gift wrap, I use these large bulletin board rolls. They are huge, affordable, and thick!

The black roll and white roll actually come in 21 colors and offers 50 ft of paper x 4 ft wide. That’s a lot of paper! So you’re able to wrap the majority of your presents with these two rolls of paper.

Plus, I love that they are so affordable and come in so many colors if black and white isn’t the only color combo you’d like to try.

Mixed With Traditional Wrapping Paper

Another way to utilize these beautiful colors is to mix them with traditional wrapping paper.

I know my kiddos would be a tad sad to not see an array of colors under the tree. So I use my black and white paper mostly for the adults and then mix in traditional colors.

I love how the black and white gifts create a beautiful backdrop for the other colors to stand out.

Add Embellishments

Another simple way to spruce up your gift wrap is with simple embellishments.

Mini Christmas trees.

I used the smallest trees from my set of 53 bottle brush trees to add a fun little twist. I also used simple black velvet ribbon and this beautiful birch bark ribbon (from Hobby Lobby) in varying ways.

Fresh cedar, juniper or pine are also beautiful accents to tuck into your ribbon.

Custom Designs

The last idea for how to use black and white wrapping paper is to add your own personal touch. I love the white paper because it allows my kids to create their own special artwork.

The creations they make are like a bonus gift to the recipient.

You can also use stamping designs or simple stencils to create your own paper!
