35+ Amazon Finds I Actually Use at Home (Smart Storage, Gadgets, Decor & Everyday Favorites)

Everyday Amazon Gadgets That Actually Help

SHOP GADGETS

  1. Instant Read Thermometer: This food thermometer doesn’t require bluetooth, doesn’t need to be recharged, and shows digital temperatures from 0.5 to hotter than the sun. I’ve never been so happy to find a moderately technological kitchen gadget that just gives me what I need and nothing I don’t.
  2. Hanging Kitchen Hand Towels: The last time my kitchen towel fell off the oven handle or drawer pull was the last straw. I found these hanging hand towels in 2019 and have never turned back. My kitchen trash pull out is never without it. I’ve used them daily for years, they’ve seen hundreds of washes, and I’ve only had to reorder once due to a small hole near the hook. I’d say a kitchen towel that lasts 5+ years is a good investment.
  3. Solar Lantern Set: I just love these! These solar lanterns require zero thought or effort. They charge all day and turn on every night all by themselves. I have them by my front door for decor and security. I think this summer I’ll add them on hooks in the garden just to be pretty.
  4. Personal Blender: We have a big blender. No one uses it. Instead, everyone grabs this personal blender to make smoothies every day. We love that it’s the perfect size for one and the cup comes off as a travel cup with lid. It’s strong enough to blend frozen strawberries and gets used daily!
  5. Individual Bible Books: Why not just read the full Bible? Of course, you can! But my friend introduced me to these individual books when we did a Bible study together, and I just fell in love. It gives you so much room to make notes or journal, and I feel like it helps me focus on the book I’m reading. Plus, once you get the whole set, it is a beautiful collection!
  6. 3 in 1 Retractable Chargers: Can I be honest? I’m really over the whole “rechargeable thing.” If I have one more thing I have to charge…..then it’s a good thing I have these 3 in 1 chargers. They have three different adapters, which is awesome for a multi-device household. But I LOVE that they are retractable to decrease the cord clutter. I use them in my car and in the house!
  7. Ear Plugs: I bought these ear plugs because I’m old and we were going to a concert. Somehow, I now cannot go a day without wearing them for one purpose or another. They are light enough that I don’t feel them and can sleep in them for an entire night without falling out. (Snoring husband….) But they are also not too sound-proof that I cannot hear if someone is talking to me. They have this amazing way of blocking the white noise that drives me crazy, while allowing me to hear what I need to. Also perfect for plane rides, athletic events, or days when you have a herd of teenagers over.
  8. Jig Saw: I bought this jig saw on Amazon when it was on sale for one of their many “biggest sales of the year.” Dewalt tools have always been a winner for me and this one is a major workhorse in my DIY tool chest!
  9. Curtain Slide Tape: Is it just me, or is it the most frustrating thing ever when curtains get hung up on rod connections? This curtain slide tape makes those drapes glide like a pro curler is preparing the way.
  10. Sleek Socket: Do you have an outlet that is in the way of furniture being pushed flush to the wall? Now, you don’t.
  11. 1 Gallon Watering Can: There is nothing quite as annoying as having to fill up a tiny watering can 5 times in a row. I love the 1 gallon capacity of this watering can. Plus, it’s super lightweight.
  12. Cervical Neck Pillow: I was struggling to sleep because of lack of pillow support. I constantly woke up with headaches. This pillow solved the problem for me! It’s the kind of “pillow love” where it must travel with me too, even if that means I can’t just do carry-on.

Amazon Storage Solutions I Use Daily

SHOP STORAGE

  1. The Best Bins: These storage bins are my preferred pantry and under sink organizers! They are large enough to actually be useful. Narrow enough to fit into tight spaces. And sturdy enough to be used to easily pull heavier items in and out of cupboards.
  2. Oversized Storage on Wheels: I was so tired of my dog’s 50lb food bag getting in the way in the house. But when I put it in the garage, the mice became my next biggest headache. So I found this 50 lb storage container (69 qt). Bonus, it’s on wheels. Now my dog’s food is contained, out of the way, and mice free! I don’t know what else you might need to store 50 lbs of….but this is your container if you can think of it!
  3. Appliance Slider: I use this appliance slider multiple times a day, every single day. My coffee garage has a low overhead door, so I needed something to easily slide my coffee pot in and out. This would also be great if you store your coffee maker or toaster on the counter with upper cabinets. It makes it seamless to slide and is pretty to boot!
  4. Valet Hook: I never knew I needed a valet hook until I saw a friend using one in her laundry room. Problem solved!! Now I use it daily to steam items, hang things to dry, and create a “this is ready to be carried up” station. It would also be fantastic if you are prepared enough to set your clothes out the night before. I aspire to be that, someday.
  5. Stacked Storage Bins: I use these stacked storage bins to store various potatoes, garlic and onions. I love that the top row is set back and they hold so much! Also, don’t worry about informing me that you shouldn’t storage potatoes next to onions and garlic. I am aware, and will likely continue to do so….
  6. Drawer Organizers/Divider: No need for custom drawers! These organizers give you the ability to make any size section in any size drawer. I especially love them to create rows for water bottle large drawers.
  7. Wicker Laundry Hamper: Some laundry rooms are hidden away. Others, like mine, are in full view. I love the upgrade this wicker laundry hamper makes in the space. Honestly, it feels like an heirloom piece that will last a lifetime.

  1. The Best Comforter: This comforter comes in 8 different sizes! Did you even know there were options besides twin, full, queen and king? I have the super king and finally feel like my comforter fits my bed. Plus, it’s super plush, cozy warm, and stays fluffy forever. 37+ colors!
  2. Pinch Pleat Curtains: These pinch pleat curtains are as high quality as my custom order drapes. They come in a large variety of sizes; to the point where I bet they will feel custom! Also come in many colors and are a superb quality. I have them in our mudroom.
  3. Classic Curtain Rod: I’ve bought these curtain rods for every house we’ve purchased since discovering them in 2018. (Ahem…that’s 3 houses…) They are simple, modern, sturdy, come in very long sizes, and most of all, super affordable.
  4. Sofa Side Arm Table: I never imagined how much I would love this mini table that drapes over the sofa arm. After purchasing a new sofa that didn’t allow room for a side table, I found myself constantly using the sofa arm for drinks. However, they were leaving rings on the fabric. So I found this genius invention and love how functional it is without sacrificing design.
  5. Peel & Stick Tile: When I remodeled my bathroom, I didn’t want to make a huge investment in the flooring. I found this peel and stick tile and am so glad I didn’t waste money on something pricier! It looks so amazing and was a cinch to install. (Even though this post is about Amazon finds, sometimes Lowe’s has these tiles on sale too. So check both options to see which is more affordable at your time of purchase!)
  6. Rechargeable Lamp: Look, I know I said I didn’t need one more thing to charge, but this rechargeable lamp seems to last forever. It is a necessity? Since when do we only buy necessities? This is the CUTEST little lamp and I love that it lights up my little coffee bar without needing an outlet. It would also be so cute in the kitchen, fireplace mantel, bedside, or outdoors for an evening dinner al fresco.
  7. Plant Stand: I have this simple plant stand in multiple sizes and colors. I love that the design is basic so it lets the pot and plant steal the show. But it elevates my plants off the floor at various heights without the need for a bulky table.
  8. Area Rug: This living room area rug is my most requested link OF ALL TIME. And for good reason. It is low pile, classic and neutral, but not boring at all. We have two dogs and a cat and it has seen its fair share of messes and still cleans up beautifully every time. (Sometimes it’s cheaper on Wayfair, so check it out there too!)
  9. Seagrass Boxes: This set of two woven seagrass boxes is SO cute. I have them as a display in our family room and they store remotes and card games. I love storage that doubles as decor! Would also be great for toys or small hobbies you want handy, yet tucked away.
  10. Set of 2 Pillows: Well, pillow covers, not pillows. But honestly, I’d prefer just the cover so I can use my favorite inserts. I love these covers because they are classic with a little fringy fun. They come in many colors and are a superb quality. I buy my inserts one size bigger than the cover so it fills it out best. (Ex: 20×20 insert for an 18×18 cover)
  11. Magnetic Garage Door Hardware: Have an ugly garage door? Me too. But with the addition of these magnetic garage door hardware pieces it looks custom! I’ve used them on our last two garages. Plus, it’s kind of funny to watch people try to lift the door with them. The handle (it’s magnetic…) comes off in their hand and they always have a look of pure horror that they somehow he-manned your hardware off. We always get a good chuckle.
  12. Cutie Cafe Curtains: I discovered a love for cafe curtains when our bathroom needed just a smidge more privacy. I paired them with this tension rod and curtain rings for an elevated look!

Amazon Fashion Basics I Reach For

SHOP THE LOOK

  1. Classy Sweatshirt: Call me boring, but I just want to be cozy all day. This sweatshirt has an elevated look with a slit mock neck and thick fabric. Comes in many colors. I wear this at least once a week.
  2. Genuine Leather Bag: This beautiful crossbody bag is a slightly larger version of my sold-out favorite purse. I personally hate when there are 50 pockets inside a purse. I just want space for my wallet, sunglasses, phone and keys. Maybe a Kleenex pack and some chapstick. I’ve had my purse since 2024 and it still looks brand-spankin new.

Monthly Subscriptions

If I have it on subscription, that must mean it’s worth the money to purchase it month-after-month.

SHOP SUBSCRIPTIONS

  1. The Best Dry Shampoo: I actually have an entire blog post about the best dry shampoo for brunettes where I break down the top 10 choices. Spoiler: This dry shampoo is my winner.
  2. Dishwasher Tabs: These plastic free, free and clear, dishwasher tabs are wonderful. The non-toxic dishwasher tabs I’ve used in the past stripped the plating off my silverware. So I’ve been wary of them ever since, but I’ve had no issues with this brand!

Honorable Mentions

These items are a collection of things that I’ve used for years. The little conveniences you don’t even think about, but would surely miss without them!

SHOP

  1. Window Cleaning Cloths: I don’t even use a spray anymore. This set cleans all my windows, glass and mirrors with just water and no chemicals.
  2. Electric Scrub Brush: This electric scrub brush is a must have for cleaning tubs and showers. It makes hard to reach areas so easy to clean!
  3. Scrigit Scraper: Don’t ask me what a scrigit is. Just know that I use this tool more than I ever thought I would. It’s basically a rigid fingernail and ultra mini dough scraper in one. A huge thanks to my sister in law for getting me this ridiculous tool that I love!
  4. The Best Faux Flowers: These faux flowers have been my ride-or-die since 2016. I’m the kind of girl that would rather spend $15 on faux flowers that last forever rather than real ones that die in a week. You can see 29 more of my favorite faux flowers in this post!

While this is not an all inclusive list of things I love in my home, it’s a great start.

These items have stood years of use without fail. I’ve repurchased many of them for new homes or new rooms. And many of them are the items I finally landed on after trying multiple other similar options without success.

Pin for Later!

I hope you love these Amazon finds I actually use as much as I do!
