Open those fused leaves and find the worm. Smoosh away. If itโ€™s too far gone, you can cut down the affected stems and leaves. However, donโ€™t compost these as it will spread and new larva will come back year after year. Spread the word! Save the hydrangeas! ๐Ÿ˜‰ #hydrangealove #hydrangeaseason #hydrangeacare #gardentips

Outdoor living and dining room are complete โœจ๐Ÿค— Iโ€™ve been dreaming of a deck like this my entire marriage. Iโ€™m so excited to be able to host family and friends in this space. The key to creating a welcoming atmosphere without a ton of maintenance is investing in quality outdoor furniture that will stand up to the elements. As well as adding in a mixture of faux plants that donโ€™t need to be toiled over in the summer heat, and look beautiful all the time. I only have a couple of potted plants on the deck that will need any maintenance and the rest are going to be perfectly green all year around. The solar lights along the rail come on automatically at dusk, but can also be operated with a remote to your needs. I love the cozy glow that they add! The sofa and chairs come with their own covers, which is perfect to keep the cushions nice and clean on dusty or pollen filled days, as well as when it rains. I like to create spaces that I can enjoy rather than constantly have to work to keep up with. I canโ€™t wait to make this space our favorite family gathering spot! Hydrangeas steal the show in zone six gardening. T Hydrangeas steal the show in zone six gardening. There are so many varieties and continued improvements upon old varieties every year. While limelight are still the star of the show and often tower up to 12 feet tall, they now have varieties like prime limelight, little lime, and Bobo hydrangeas that all give a similar look in a smaller scale. And even though my prized Annabelle hydrangeas from our last house were my pride and enjoy every spring, in our new home Iโ€™m replacing them with Incrediballs for sturdier stems in a similar look on our front bed. If you havenโ€™t yet pruned, take care to see if you have new growth already coming up. Before new leaves form I always cut my Annabelleโ€™s or Incrediballs almost to the ground. However, my limelight and similar varieties. I take back the top third to keep them in control. Other varieties of hydrangeas need different type of pruning as flowers can come from old growth. However, itโ€™s not too late to fertilize! I use Hollytone. It has done so well for me. Comment SHOP and I will send you where my fertilizer is on sale! (You must by following me for this feature to work.) But the biggest tip to get this beautiful hydrangea display is that it will take time. The majority of these plants are at least six years old, with the large Annabelle berm being closer to 10 years. Even though it will take time to see this kind of fullness, each year brings new life, and simple pleasures to enjoy as you watch your hydrangeas grow.
