Cozy Bedroom Colors to Pair with Grey Bedding
A cozy bedroom is a perfect retreat in our homes. I love to layer textiles and warm colors to add interest to a bedroom. Today, I’m sharing how to pair cozy colors with grey bedding for a comfortable and inviting combination.

Grey Bedding as A Foundation
As fall and winter approach, I always amp up the coziness factor in my bedrooms. I love layering textures, and this year I decided to focus on layering several colors of grey bedding as the foundation for my fall bedroom decor.
The fall bedding took on a gradient affect. I started with white king size bed sheets, then added a light grey duvet, topped that with a medium tone grey quilt, and then finished it off with a marled grey knit blanket.
All of these grey layers keep my color palette fairly neutral, but streamlined.

Cozy Colors to Pair with Grey Bedding
Since I typically keep my fall bedding on the neutral end, I can easily add pops of warm and cozy colors to bring out a fall color palette.
I always keep in mind that my bedroom accent wall is a deep and moody hue on its own. So adding colors that complement the color, Regal Leaf by Magnolia Home, is important to me.
This year, I am tossing out the early 2000s rule of not mixing browns and blacks! I will never understand why that rule has stuck for so long.
Grey, Black, Cream, Brown, Tan, Deep Green & Plum
My main color palette this fall is: grey, black, cream, brown, tan and plum. Plus, deep green on the walls. Those colors are on repeat throughout my entire home and I love how cozy they make a space.
At the foot of the bed, I always keep a basket to corral unused blankets and pillows. This year, a quick addition of this heavy brown woven blanket brings in those warmer fall tones I love.
Pairing that with a brown leather accent pillow keeps the color consistent as your eye is drawn through the room. I used this color because of my daydream believer sign. I love the brown accents it adds and wanted to carry it through the rest of the space!

Plum
Plum pairs so well with grey bedding. Grey and plum is one of my favorite color combinations. I added simple plum eucalyptus to the nightstand for a pop of fall color.
Simple arrangements are all I really know how to do. So using a deep color for a monotone arrangement is an easy way to keep it interesting.
Small Changes | Big Impact
I love how easily this room came together. Even swapping out one accent color for the season can make a big difference to a room.
I recently purchased new linen curtains for our living room and I’m considering buying them in a darker hue for the bedroom as well! The chocolate color might be a fun way to continue adding brown tones to the space!
We also updated our ceiling fan recently to this much more modern option. This small change made a HUGE difference to the feel of our room. Make sure to visit this post to see what our bedroom looked like when we moved in!
