How to Use Free Printables
Free printables are an awesome resource offered by bloggers and businesses alike. There are so many ways to use them to create budget friendly home decor.
There are a few main ways that I like to use free printables in my holiday decorating.
- Framed and displayed on a wall or buffet, shelf or table.
- Used as greeting cards.
- Sent out as an email greeting.
- Gift tags.
- Birthday/life event cards.
- Templates for large scale DIY art.
- Games.
- Holiday organization. (Checklists, to-do lists, recipe ingredient lists, packing lists…etc.)
- Christmas ornaments. (Using cut outs and strung up similar to how I did my Charlie brown tree here.)
- Use free printable designs for making tshirts, pillows, signs, banners…etc with a Cricut.
- Phone and/or desktop wallpaper.
Using free Christmas printables to display as art is an obvious way to use them. But I like thinking outside the box with these other 10 ideas as well!
Where to Find Free Printables
The next question becomes, where do I find free printables?
My go-to answer is, from bloggers like me! I love offering freebies to my subscribers that you can use however you’d like.
Many bloggers offer the same benefit of becoming a blog subscriber, like those joining me today!
You can usually find freebies on Pinterest by searching for “___topic___ free printable”.
Additionally, you can also find freebies from places like:
- Canva
- Creative Market
- Unsplash
- Open Access Art
- The New York Public Library Digital Collections
The only thing you need to be cautious of is making sure the art/printables are royalty free and available for public use. You don’t want to use copyrighted materials.
