Laundry Room Decor and More | $100 Room Makeover Challenge

Love it? Share it!

Hello my friends and welcome to my first $100 Room Challenge! Over the next four weeks I intend to take my laundry room decor and much more from drab and dated to beautiful form plus function! Here’s the kicker…all for $100. Yes, it is possible. With a little creativity, some deep diving craigslist searches, and leftover materials from previous projects I will transform my laundry room into a space I actually enjoy using.

Laundry Room Decor & More Makeover

Let’s take a look at our laundry room as it was when we moved in. This is the starting point and I’m so excited to get to the finish line.

Before

I am so blessed to have an entire room all dedicated to laundry. Honestly, this is a huge blessing. Our previous home’s laundry room was combined with our mudroom and while that served us just fine, it also posed a few organizational issues. So when we moved into this home I was excited to have a laundry room that also included a utility sink. It’s the little things guys.

However, it is definitely not how I would style my laundry room if I were designing it myself. It is very dated, dingy and dark. The triple D. So, since I like a challenge, I chose this room to participate in the $100 Room Challenge. This blogger challenge is just as it sounds: One room + $100 budget + one month to completely transform your space.

The Plan

So here is my mood board! I am planning to rely heavily on leftover materials from past projects to keep this makeover under budget. We all have left over materials, whether it’s paint, flooring or building supplies that can be repurposed with a little creativity.

Makeover Checklist

Here are all of the items I hope to check off my makeover list as I attempt this project!

  • Updated Paint
  • Statement Wall
  • Updated Countertop

Does that sound like a tall order for a $100 budget? Umm…yes, yes it does. Follow along with me each week as I go through this laundry room decor and more project here on the blog and on Instagram to see how I make it happen! Fingers crossed. 😉

  1. I love the Dave Ramsey quote about budgeting at the end!!!! So true!!! I have to say I was skeptical you could get it all done under budget but WOW – it’s been fun to watch the transformation on Instagram Stories and it looks amazing!!!!

  2. We just moved in March, and our house now has a true laundry room (with a utility sink) as well, and I was SO excited. Our previous house had the laundry room in a closet. I absolutely LOVE your design plan. It looks incredible!!! I cannot wait to see how this space looks in a few weeks from now.
