Sunroom Office Inspiration: A Dual Purpose Paradise
Hello my Friends!
I’m excited to share another reveal with you as a part of our new home remodel! Have you ever needed to carve an office into another space in your home? Today I’m sharing how I made our sunroom into a dual purpose paradise as a sunroom office. A little sun and nature mixed with a little work and modern convenience.

Sunroom Office Reveal
When we moved in, this sunroom needed the least amount of work. It was all cosmetic, so we tackled it first thing before anything else! The yellow walls dated the space so I freshened it up with Magnolia Home paint in Shiplap. (Which is now available at Target! Woot!) This soft white with grey undertones brightened up the space and really lets the natural surroundings shine. I wanted this space to be serene, calming, and bright and Magnolia Home’s Shiplap was the perfect choice.
Before
After
Since all we needed to do to the room itself was paint the walls, I dug right in to how I wanted to decorate the space. The sunroom is directly off of our bedroom, which you can read about here, so I knew that I wanted it to be my little oasis (that I often share with the family ;)). However, I also needed an office space so the work on this little blog no longer took place on the couch, at our dining room table, and in my bed. ๐ Thus, the sunroom office was born!
A little bit sunroom
On one side of the sunroom office I created a reading space in front of this indoor faux window box which you can read all about here. This is also where my family sits and relaxes while reading stories all crammed into our two person chair and on the bench. We’ve already started using the sunroom for its original purpose too: plants! Hopefully I can keep these babies alive. Thankfully I found which indoor plants my green thumb can keep alive and you can read about those here!
A little bit office
On the other side of the sunroom office I created my office space from this antique work table. Office supplies are hidden in various baskets so my practical needs can still be pretty. I finished off the space with plenty of sunroom decor with various flower pots, real and faux plants, and books. Even though the sunroom office serves two purposes, I still wanted it to appear to be a sunroom. Thankfully the “office” portion of the space is easily camouflaged.

Sunroom Office: My Dual Purpose Paradise
And there you have it! An office space doesn’t have to be large and a sunroom doesn’t have to simply be a sitting area. I love when I can make a space dual purpose and it’s even better when it looks pretty in the process. I’m excited to work and relax in this space for years to come!
Grain sack pillow can be found here.
Now, I can’t wait for warm weather to arrive so I can break open those doors and truly enjoy all this sunroom office has to offer. How have you carved an office into your space?
