With 20 acres of land butting up to our neighborโ€™s 20, I wanted to create privacy without causing a division with a fence. Weโ€™re on our second year of slowly adding these beautiful Thuja Green Giants from @fastgrowingtrees around the perimeter of our land. Most people tend to only focus on privacy screening in small lots, but I craved an oasis in our backyard that was full of lush greenery and easy privacy. These trees will grow in thick and create the most beautiful screen that is evergreen so we can even enjoy it in the winter. They grow at a very substantial rate so it will only take a few years for us to fully benefit. The trees arrive so healthy and well packaged straight to my door, which makes it so much more accessible to get this large quantity of healthy trees. We are up to 25 trees spread out around our property and next year plan to add more to our front acreage. Open those fused leaves and find the worm. Smoosh away. If itโ€™s too far gone, you can cut down the affected stems and leaves. Outdoor living and dining room are complete โœจ๐Ÿค— Iโ€™ve been dreaming of a deck like this my entire marriage. Iโ€™m so excited to be able to host family and friends in this space. The key to creating a welcoming atmosphere without a ton of maintenance is investing in quality outdoor furniture that will stand up to the elements. As well as adding in a mixture of faux plants that donโ€™t need to be toiled over in the summer heat, and look beautiful all the time. I only have a couple of potted plants on the deck that will need any maintenance and the rest are going to be perfectly green all year around. The solar lights along the rail come on automatically at dusk, but can also be operated with a remote to your needs. I love the cozy glow that they add! The sofa and chairs come with their own covers, which is perfect to keep the cushions nice and clean on dusty or pollen filled days, as well as when it rains. I like to create spaces that I can enjoy rather than constantly have to work to keep up with. I canโ€™t wait to make this space our favorite family gathering spot!
